This Heavy Door Hinge is cast 1025 low carbon steel construction and can be ordered with
precision bronze or roller bearings for both the radial and the thrust bearings. The hinge pin is 3/4" 1045 steel.
If you need it, we will build our 6000 lb. model hinge from cast stainless or solid bronze. Call for an estimate
or further specs.

The 20,000 lb Heavy Door Hinge is shown with heavy duty roller thrust bearing.
Assembled dimensions are are 15" high x 18" wide. Note that the
backplate on this one is made to bolt onto the doorframe, and the flap plate is
to be welded to the door, hence it has no holes.
Our hinges are
being used by the US Army for 2" thick steel explosion proof bunker doors at the
Yuma, AZ proving grounds, and on other explosion resistant structures for the US
government and in bank vaults.

With a slight modification to a 1 3/4" pin, two of these hinges can handle a 35,000 lb. door.

$169 This hinge is cast 1025 low carbon steel, with precision SAE 660 bronze bearings. Assembled dimensions are 6.5 inches long (top to bottom in this picture) x 5.5 inches wide. The hinge pin is 1045 steel, 1/2" diameter. For marine applications it works well out of solid bronze or stainless steel. Looks good on any door. We will also sell the 2000 lb. hinge without bearings for those who only open the door occasionally. These are for weld on only. We add a grease fitting to lubricate each end of the pin in its hole. Grease also keeps water out. Now $84.50 for a bearingless, precision fitted, weld on hinge, 2000 lb. capacity (5'x8' door). Many applications up to 1000 pounds can be done without bearings.
